Writing in English in a sea of Hebrew can feel isolating, with few avenues for honing craft, experimenting with genre, and meeting local writers writing in English.
WriteSpace Jerusalem offers community and a wide array of quality writing workshops and master classes showcasing talented writers from Israel and abroad, with a view to nurturing English-language writing in Israel. Choose areas of interest, from fiction, poetry, memoir and blogging, to build a program tailored to your needs. What would you like to see on offer? Contact us and we'll try to make it happen. What participants say about our workshops...'I must tell you how excited I am about WriteSpace Jerusalem. I've published before and have a writing group, but the ongoing support of this diverse writing community is just what I need for my creative/memoir pieces. It's simply wonderful that English writing voices join together for this.' - R.W.
'As always, a big thank you to Nadia for facilitating the workshop. Your knack for knowing who and what will motivate writers in formation repeatedly astounds.' - P.T. Upcoming Reading with Jerusalism

Giving Shape to Sadness:

Yoga-Writing Workshop
|
This workshop will provide a safe space for writing about the process of grief and hope. We will work on creative writing activities that address questions such as:
Who am I now? How can I express my grief and my love? How can I transform my pain into healing? What are the gifts in my life? Where do I find joy? This workshop is open to anybody who is dealing with the pain of loss and mourning a loved one. It is open to all levels of writers. Story Foundations
|
We all have stories to tell.
For some of us, they lie buried, deep inside, occasionally rising up and taking us by surprise. In this workshop, we will plumb our bodies and our minds through movement and meditation to find our stories and begin to write them. We will explore how the practice of yoga enriches the art of writing. Guided Writing Group:
