Writing Together
I find it hard to write on my own, let alone during this ongoing tension and uncertainty.
I've discovered there's a creative energy that comes when you sit and write surrounded by other writers, so I wanted to provide this opportunity for gathering together as a supportive writing community. ALL writers and creatives are welcome to these sessions. Writing your novel? Great. Want to draw? Excellent. Crafting social media posts? That's fine too.
At the beginning of the session, everyone will introduce themselves briefly stating what they want to work on during the session (if there are lots of people, we'll go straight into writing). I then set a timer for 50 minutes (daytime) and we write. After the timer goes off, you'll have another timer set for say how it went and write for another 50 minutes. At the end of the session, you'll have the opportunity to share how the experience went.
Sending love,
Nadia

'Thank you, Nadia, for a valuable "Writing Space" via Zoom last night. It was very comforting to have this dedicated time for writing. (If I hadn't attended, I would have been trying to do household tasks with the news continuously running in the background!) It was a great relief! The other benefit was writing next to a room full of other writers. At least that's the way it felt - as if there was just a glass pane separating me from everyone else. '

'I'm so glad I joined you. I don't think of myself as a writer, but this evening I managed to write an entire first draft of a children's picture book. I can't imagine I would've accomplished that alone.'
- Rachel J. Nadia! Honestly the best experience today. I finished two blog posts! I can't wait to join the next meeting. Thanks again for creating this awesome space for writers! - Sarah Packer
