When we learn new skills, we need time to assimilate the knowledge, to let it seep into and enhance our writing.
Workshops are an opportunity to focus on a subject over a longer period of time. During that time you will be able to learn more about a genre and develop your craft through in-class writing and submit work for feedback from the instructor and fellow participants.

Since our inception in 2016, WriteSpace Jerusalem has had the pleasure of hosting writers from Israel and abroad who excel in teaching: Ilana Blumberg, Rachel Creeger, Anna Levine, Judy Dick, Debbie Herman, Sherri Mandell, Joanna Chen, Jane Medved, Ariella Eshed, Rachel Heimowitz, Annette Gendler, and Jessamyn Hope.
Genres taught have included: storytelling, playwriting, comedy, memoir, fiction, poetry, children's picture books, and educational writing.

This workshop is aimed at advanced writers who are currently working on short stories or memoir and want to push their craft to the next level. Each session will open with an in-depth reading and critique of the participants' work, and together we will explore ways to revise and develop work, with a view towards publication. In-class writing exercises will be offered to aid participants in honing specific skills.
This course will include information on how to present and submit your work to magazines and competitions.
